1000 years, 1000 paces

Here in Emagine Media, we’re currently working on a project for Waterford Treasures. This involved a closer look around Waterford’s ongoing developments in the Viking Triangle. At the heart of the Viking Triangle, Waterford Treasures comprises of three magnificent museums chronicling over one thousand years of history; Bishop’s Palace, The Medieval Museum and Reginald’s Tower – all within easy walking distance of each other. It is a treasure trail that takes you through Ireland’s oldest city – 1000 years in 1000 paces. With the sun shining, the city was looking amazing last week. The architect was brought out in me by studying …

Ravens Rock Rally 2013

The ceremonial start for the 2013 Raven’s Rock Rally was launched on June 29th in Waterford City. The sun was shining and both the cars and John Roberts Square was looking amazing in the stunning evening light. Great to see the city centre so unusually busy on Saturday evening, drawing a big crowd and generating a buzz for the city.

Delahunty Dares

Eight thousand people and their family members live with Multiple Sclerosis across Ireland. Although MS is a progressive neurological condition that can affect a person’s health, lifestyle and relationships many people with MS find ways to manage and cope with many of the affects and difficulties. Liam has challenged himself to take on 24 adventure races in 18 months, the reason this is a challenge to him is because he has Multiple Sclerosis. For more information visit Liam’s Facebook Page

It’s just not cricket

This week I was shooting stills for the new The Duckworth Lewis Method music video in Merrion Cricket Club in Dublin. The brainchild of Emagine‘s Creative Director Brian Hickey, from burlesque dancers, to steam rollers, to musical instruments being used as crickets bats to giant cuddly Pokemon, definitely one the most obscure (and fun) days of work we’ve ever done!! Brian was responsible for storyboarding and direction of the video which resulted into an altogether surreal, comical day full of amazing energy and fun with a fantastic team. Video is currently in edit, due to be released in a couple of weeks, can’t …

Royalty Visits Faithlegg

This week, The Duke of Kent, HRH Prince Edward stayed in The Faithlegg House Hotel in Waterford. The Queen’s cousin is the President of the RNLI and yesterday paid a visit to the Lifeboat Station in Dunmore East. Keeping a low profile, in the end I only got to shoot off a couple of frames of the Duke of Kent himself, the brief was more about documenting the story of the buzz around the hotel in the lead up to the visit, the staff, the preparations and dinner setting for the Duke and his RNLI guests.   All images Copyright Peter …

Genevieve & Ciarán

While I’ve never gone down the route of being THE official photographer for a wedding, I did have the opportunity to take a much more relaxed photographic role at my good friend Ciarán’s celebrations last year in Cork. I went to college with Ciarán in Dublin. He went on to finish his Architectural Degree – I didn’t. Life and work took him to New York where he met the beautiful Genevieve and the rest is history. I loved floating around the crowd, grabbing those precious little moments and candid images that often can be missed. Without the pressure of being …
